The Minnesota Styk is a 64" mild Reflex/Deflex longbow that tips it's cap to the beginnings of archery but embraces modern materials and design. Long, graceful limbs provide cast and a pleasurable shooting experience. One you won't soon forget!
The Minnesota Styk longbow is built with a very comfortable low wrist locator grip that settles perfectly into your hand. The leather grip gives comfort and helps with repeatability .
The shelf is cut to center with a generous site window, allowing you to get on target quickly.
This longbow is incredibly quiet and forgiving, and has a silky smooth draw with no stacking, even beyond a 30" draw.
This limb tips are built with a 6" black glass tip wedge rather than overlays. The tip wedges do two things... First they reinforce the tip allowing the uses of modern, low stretch string materials, like Fast Flight or D-97. Secondly, the tip wedges make the last several inches of the limbs static, producing more speed because the static tip acts like a whip on the end of the limb.
This bow is built to hunt and provide an enjoyable shooting experience. The simple beauty of this bow calls back to the early days for modern traditional archery.
A standard Minnesota Styk will be made with colored glass of your choice on the back and belly, a beautiful Osage riser and bamboo cores, giving it a silky smooth draw cycle and great performance. All Minnesota Styks will come standard with a leather grip and tip wedges to allow for use of modern sting materials.

Draw Weight Tolerance
I do a very good job at hitting draw weight but in order to achieve optimum performance please allow plus or minus 1# of your requested draw weight. Most often I will hit the weight you request but grinding down to the desired weight, as some others do, is not ideal. It hinders performance and can hurt the integrity of the bow. Thus my policy is that if I miss weight by more than 1# I rebuild the bow and hit the weight you requested . Example: if you order a bow 45# @ 28", please allow 44#-46#.
